Team Raven's last game of the season

Isaac's last soccer game of the season was this weekend. It was chilly, but all of the kids were there and everyone just seemed to have so much fun. It was certainly not a competitive league, as the goal was for everyone to play and just have a good time, which they did! It was "swarm soccer" at it's finest (so funny), but the kids really did improve a lot with their understanding of the game, skills, confidence, and aggressiveness. It was a great group of parents and kids, and we will miss seeing everyone each week. All of the kids are in kindergarten at Ben Franklin, so I'm sure our paths will cross again!

Best (and cutest) spectators ever!

Happy Halloween...

...from Cinderella and Batman!
It was raining pretty solid for most of the day, but luckily it let up right around the time we headed out the door for some trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood. We ended up being out longer than I expected and went over to a neighbors house after trick-or-treating, so we have a HUGE bowl of Halloween candy left over. Since eating all of it (or letting Brooke eat all of it...because she would) is not an option, we need to figure out what to do with it!

Carving pumpkins
 planning it out...

 Ewww...gooey!

Hmmm...not sure we're going to get too far with that knife!

Yeh!

Ha, Ha, Ha!

Ooooh, scary

Carving pumpkins just happened to coincide with Monday night football...go Seahawks!

Brooke had a party and a parade at preschool the day before Halloween...too cute! She was so excited to put on her Cinderella dress and several of the other girls in her class were dressed up as princesses as well. They had a parade for the parents and then went around the building trick-or-treating!

Unfortunately, Isaac's outdoor parade on Halloween AM was rained out, so they paraded inside the school to all of the other classrooms instead:( But...he had quite the action-packed day, with a Halloween party in Kindergarten, another one that afternoon with his Kindergarten Enrichment class, followed by trick-or-treating that night...so exciting!

GE Fall Family Fest

We went to the Fall Family Fest in Glen Ellyn a few weeks ago & just got a copy of the family picture we had taken. It was a gorgeous day for a picnic and a great event to meet up with some people we have recently met...and the kids loved the big bouncy slide!

Tanner's Apple Orchard

We went to Peoria this weekend and went to Tanner's, a well known apple orchard & pumpkin farm not too far away from where Gramee & Granddad live. We all had a great time & enjoyed watching the kids. They had so much fun - they were able to feed goats, ride a pony, and they had a kid play area with swings, wooden trains/planes/etc to climb on, a hay maze, and a barrel tractor ride. It was a perfect fall day!

I did get it off the ground! But, unfortunately, we didn't go home with this one:(

Feeding the goats

Doesn't it look like they are smiling at eachother?!?

Getting ready for the barrel ride, where they were pulled by a tractor around the field and through the orchard! Brooke was quickly moving her steering wheel back and forth almost constantly, while Isaac was strategically moving his steering wheel when the tractor would actually turn!

Pony rides
Brooke loved it, although she was mildly disappointed she didn't get to ride the horsey with pink zebra stripes!

Isaac wasn't into pony rides AT ALL in the past, but hopped right on this year!

And...last but not least...finishing the day with cider donuts and apple cider...YUM!
