Sea-hawwwks & hoot hoot

And...too cute not to share Brooke's new hat! She is so proud:)

Our sweet little lady is 2 years old!

The DeLeon's, Houser's, Stone's and Torseth's were all here to celebrate New Years & (conveniently!) Brooke's 2nd birthday!

Brooke's most recent obsession with owls made a choice for a birthday cake an easy one!

She needed Daddy's help to blow out the candle

Quite a contrast from last year...she enjoyed every bite of this delicious cupcake!

The "big" kids all together with jammies on to ring in the NY! Well, not quite...most of them went to bed so that we could have some (much needed) adult-time!

We celebrated B's birthday the next day as a family,
just relaxing around the house (with football on, of course!).

The yearly birthday pics! Don't you love Brooke's "cheesey" smile?!?

Merry Christmas!

Christmas was so fun this year, the spirit of Christmas so pure with the excitement of the kids. Isaac couldn't wait to get up every morning to get the piece of chocolate from his advent calendar and put a sticker on Santa's beard to count down the days until Christmas morning. Whenever Isaac (otherwise known as "I-o" by Brooke) would show excitement about Santa, Brooke would chime in, "yeah, yeah"! They enjoyed watching and reading the book "Frosty the Snowman" over-and-over-and-over...Brooke would ask for "Frobby nomeo" and loved to reinact the part where the police man puts his hand up and yells "Stop". We spent Christmas Eve with the Houser's and went to see the DeLeon's on Christmas night...always special to see our "Seattle family" over the holidays.

Santa was here!

A couple of days later, Isaac & Brooke were watching a movie with their new pals

Christmas anticipation

We went to the Warm Beach festival of lights again this year with the Torseth's and Housers. It was chilly, but no rain, so it was a good night. And...the kids got to visit Santa! Isaac was thrilled to be able to tell him he wanted a "car carrier, a garbage truck, sparkly crayons, and walkie talkies"! Brooke had absolutely NO interest in getting close to Santa until she realized that he was passing out candy canes!

Brooke went through a stage where she wanted to wear one of
Isaac's shirts or jersey's over her jammies for bed!

Decorating a gingerbread house.
I'm pretty sure 1/2 of the candy was eaten & never made it onto the house!

Also, decorating cookies...and making a couple of special one's just for Santa. Again, a perfect opportunity for some sugar snacks! Mmmmm.
